A few weeks ago our minidub, Denzil, headed off to a wedding in Penzance with Marita and Paul. Marita has been kind enough to share her experience in the review below
A review of our weekend with Denzil the Minidub
Being from the other end of the country, my partner and I wanted to make the most of our holiday in Cornwall this autumn. To us, this meant only one thing. We were going to hire a campervan. With our minds made up at the start of this year, we went about doing thorough research of the different companies offering campers in the area. For our needs and budget, Kernow Kampers ticked all the boxes.
We settled on a gloriously orange minidub named Denzil; a fun-sized campervan appealed to us, both visually and from a practical aspect. We wanted to navigate Cornish country lanes with ease and for our four day stay, Denzil looked right for the job.
From communications, to the booking process, Kernow Kampers made everything simple and seamless.
We could not contain our excitement when we landed at Newquay Airport in early September. Nolan was waiting patiently for us in the carpark for our smooth handover and then we were off.
Denzil was even more handsome than in all the photos we showed to family and friends. In the first ten minutes of driving him, we could not stop smiling and giggling. The smiles continued throughout our journey to Penzance, with pedestrians and other motorists giving us a honk or a wave. During our stay in the area, Denzil also got to visit Land’s End, St Ives, Perranporth, Trereife House, St Michael’s Mount and all the little villages in between. Everywhere we went, we turned heads – and even had our photo taken a few times! The double mattress provided allowed us to have peaceful nights of sleep, and the cooking equipment/stove was much appreciated.
All in all, our holiday was a unique and fun-filled adventure, thanks to Denzil and Kernow Kampers. We would highly recommend the company for their reliability and professionalism, and would not hesitate to use them again in the future. Now, we just need to save some money up to buy Denzil for ourselves…
